Audrey Connell

MA, LPCI

Clinic Director and Outpatient Therapist at Palmetto Psychiatry Associates, Audrey has been a practicing Mental Health Clinician since 2004. She attended Niagara University, in Niagara Falls, NY where she received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work. She also obtained her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Medaille College in Buffalo, NY. Audrey has since worked in an array of clinical settings, including non-profit agencies, private practice and leading mental health centers. She specializes in the areas of suicide prevention and intervention, grief and loss, depression, anxiety and trauma. Valuing education and advocacy, Audrey uses her skills and experiences as a community speaker, educator and serves as a board member for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Audrey respects the therapeutic relationship and recognizes that seeking therapy can be a vulnerable and intimidating step. Her role as a therapist is to guide and support, while assisting clients in finding the healthiest path for their lives. Recognizing that each individual is unique, she tailors her approach and skills to meet the individual's needs. Audrey provides interactive psychotherapy utilizing cognitive-behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed treatment and strength based approaches in her work.
